Cheryl Baker is an author, bible teacher, leader equipper and Transformational Leadership Coach. She served at Perimeter Church, a large church in Atlanta, for 11 years as director of Women’s Discipleship and Leadership Training.  She is now venturing beyond Perimeter Church to equip and coach women’s ministry directors, leaders and coaches in other churches.  Her passion is leadership development with follow-up coaching, investing in leaders and emerging leaders with a focus on discipleship.  She loves to see women grow to effectiveness in ministry and grow in the art of discipling other women by using a “coach approach to discipling.”

Cheryl has written several bible studies for small groups as well as leader training manuals and co-authored 8 Principles of Life on Life Leadership, a Manual for Building Discipling Leaders, with Tony Stoltzfus of Coach 22.

Cheryl has great conviction and commitment to her values for ministry.

  • Healthy ministry flows out of being with Jesus.
  • Training followed with coaching is most effective.
  • Every ministry or small group leader needs a coach.
  • Coaching is a major catalyst for all growth.
  • Every coach needs a coach.
  • Every event, small group, or class should contain elements of truth, equipping, accountability, mission, and supplication. T.E.A.M.S-based ministry is balanced ministry.
  • A coach approach to discipleship is relational life-on-life rather than curriculum or program centered, Jesus is our model as the master coach/discipler.
