Why do we try and box God in? I haven’t a clue but I sure have been guilty of this myself a time or two. When I think about it, it’s so ridiculous to think that a God so big and so wondrous could be made to fit into our human comprehension. It’s truly laughable. God not only made the human but he made the comprehension too!

The more I open myself up to the possibilities in God the more He continues to show me how progressive and hip He is. Yes, I did just say God was hip. He is. He knows all the trends, He’s clear on what catches our eye and He can use every single thing for His glory. I know because I’ve seen it manifest in my own life and in the life of the ministry God has allowed me to lead.

For several weeks my girlfriend encouraged me to get on the social networking site, Facebook. I didn’t want to have anything to do with it. I complained that I didn’t need anything else to do and I sure didn’t want to be drudging up a whole bunch of people from my past. I found every excuse in the book as to why I shouldn’t do it. Meanwhile, my girlfriend was reconnecting with friends and meeting new people everyday. She was having a wonderful time with this new phenomena and I remained in my stubborn stance. Now mind you, the Holy Spirit was arresting me and prodding me to get on Facebook all the while. It became so uncomfortable that I had to do something. I started as I usually do by doing my research. I quickly found out that I could put a group page up for the ministry. Immediately, I started to warm up to the idea. It was time for me to tackle Facebook and get out there for God.

I can’t even begin to put into words what a tremendous blessing this application has been for the ministry and for me personally. Not only have I been able to reunite with acquaintances from many years ago, several of which are now in ministry, I have been able to share the good news of Christ with people from literally all across the globe. I have even hooked up with wonderful women in ministry who have served as guests on the Internet radio talk show that I host every week. Many of the prayers I had prayed were being answered through this nifty, little tool. Who would have thought that God would use Facebook to do things only God could do? And it didn’t stop there.

There exists a tremendous harvest on Facebook for those who are unfamiliar with Christian Life Coaching. Every time a Facebook friend visits my page or the page for the God’s Uttermost Woman ministry, they learn about coaching through either something I have posted or in my posted interactions with my friends. Coaching is about relationship and so is social networking. They really do go hand in hand. I can see that clearly now that I am onboard but I was totally in the dark prior to accepting the call.

Don’t waste precious time like I did running from God’s instruction. Get your face on Facebook today! Your new clients are waiting for you to show up.
