How to Get Involved with Missions Coaching Community, by Tina Stoltzfus Horst

Jul 24th, 2009 | By | Category: Missions Coaching

Missions coaching is a new and exciting part of the Christian Coaching movement, with great potential to support the expansion of God’s kingdom around the world.   We have an opportunity, as missions coaches, to cooperate and support each other, and in so doing, multiply our efforts.  My hope for the Christian Coaching Center’s mission coaching site is that we’ll share resources, connections, and relationship evenhandedly, committing to building each other up in our work with missionaries.

How can you be a part of this new community?  Post your comments.  Post resources that have been helpful to you in your work as a missions coach.  Share the site with others.  Let us know about upcoming events relevant to missions coaching.  Send us stories about coaching missionaries – share the “wins” God has given you!  Post a question you need help with or a challenge you are dealing with.

Because missions coaching is a fairly new movement, we’re all learning; we each have things to offer.  Lets help each other become all we can be as missions coaches.

How to:

I am a new coach and also a missionary in Thailand. I would like information on each of my roles… Any suggestions?

Wilma, you’ve already taken a number of steps towards finding the information you need through connecting on this site, emailing others and joining Mission Coaches Network. Connecting with other mission coaches and looking at coach training programs is a great way to gain more information. The relationships and interactions you develop as a part of that process can help you move from gathering information to experiencing, implementing, practicing and re-evaluating – some of the most important aspects of a coaching process. I hope you’ll continue to dialogue and ask for what you need, leaning into those new relationships. We look forward to hearing more from you!
