Create a Google Profile
Google has just come out with another tool to help you get found when someone Googles your name, it is called the Google Profile. To complete your profile, visit google.com/profiles/me and fill in as much information as possible. This will help readers find you more easily, especially, if you share the same name with someone else who consistently ranks more highly than you in the search rankings.
This service is still new and you may not see your profile immediately when you Google your name. From what I understand the more information you provide in the profile, the more likely it will be seen.
